Ma’s Creations :)

Sorry I haven’t had time to post this weekend. I have been busy preparing a seminar I have to do tomorrow at University. In case you are interested, it is about the actor Sidney Poitier. It should be interesting as I can barely speak at the moment (been having teeth troubles for 8 months and very bad at the moment).

Anyway. I wanted to make sure I posted something as I probably won’t have time tomorrow either so I am going to tell you about one of my most favourite websites, Pink Marshmallow. It is the personal graphics site of my friend Marcela. If you are looking for an icon to use on a forum, or for a cute wallpaper for your computer desktop, Pink Marshmallow is the place to go. Ma seriously makes the cutest graphics so I just had to tell you about her!

She most recently added some icons from the movie Avatar (which is amazing by the way!) so below are a few of my faves, as well as some of my faves that she has done of Ddung dolls which are my newest obsession!

With regards to her desktop wallpapers, I particularly love the ones from Wall-E and Lost, but the one I am using on my laptop at the moment and is totally adorable, is this one below from Alice in Wonderland (go to Pink Marshmallow to see it bigger and get it for yourself!).

Meet Ddung!

My friend Marcela got me on to these little cuties. They are collectable dolls from Korea. Ddung (everyone calls her Dee Dee!) is a four year old little girl who loves to dress up and be there waiting for you, always smiling, to brighten your day :)

The Ddung dolls come in a variety of sizes and outfits. I think the biggest you can get is 18cm and the smallest is 10cm. Many of the big ones come with extra cute little accessories. Some of the smaller ones come in sets too (there is even an Alice in Wonderland one!) but many of the Mini Ddung’s come on their own with a little strap for hanging them from your bag etc. I think I have fallen in love with the mini Ddung’s. They are just too cute for words! The big ones are adorable but the mini ones are just even cuter smaller. Below is ‘Happy Cooking Day Ddung’. She is a 10cm doll but she comes in a little set with a few accessories:

At the moment, the only place to buy them from the UK is Artbox and they only have a few of the large dolls and just one of the Mini dolls at the moment (however I did email them today and they said they would be getting more stock in 2-3 months). The best place to buy them is on Ebay but beware for counterfeits! Make sure that there are pictures of the box etc. on the listing and that the seller has good feedback. I found this seller who has a very good feedback rating and stocks a lot of different dolls. The shipping charges are fairly reasonable too. If you live in America, you can buy direct from the American Ddung website. Below is a picture of all the mini Ddung’s available:
